For fifty editions, interpreter of the stone marble sector, the excellence of Italian manufacturing Marmomacc - from 30 September to 8 October, Fiera di Verona - this year is even more global thanks to the extraordinary promotion plan of Made in Italy of the Ministry of Economic Development in collaboration with ICE-Agency for the promotion abroad and internationalization of Italian companies and Confindustria Marmomacchine. The Plan, which includes a total investment of 2 million euros gross disbursed directly by the MISE, presented last September 14 at a press conference at the Ministry of Economic Development in the presence of Giuseppe Tripoli, head of the MISE department for the internationalization of companies, Roberto Luongo, ICE-Agency general manager, Ettore Riello and Giovanni Mantovani, president and general manager of Veronafiere, and Flavio Marabelli President of Confindustria Marmomacchine (in the images), is a result of historic significance for a sector to which Marmomacc has been giving voice since 1961. and which represents a total production of over 3.84 billion euros in value (75 # 37 from exports), with 3,340 companies and 33,700 employees (source Confindustria Marmomacchine 2014). The Project carries on the idea of internationalizing the business linked to the Made in Italy product - be it machinery, technology, raw block, semi-finished or finished -, favoring the incoming of qualified operators from abroad, moments of technical training, meetings business to business and visits to companies and production areas, presentation of technological and stone excellence.
The fulcrum of the initiative promoted by MISE is the 50th edition of Marmomacc at the Verona fair, with more than 1,500 exhibitors, of which 569 Italian and 933 foreign from 55 countries on 77,100 square meters, and with more than 60,000 operators expected from over one hundred and forty Countries. "It is an innovative promotion plan because it is based on an integrated vision that involves all the players in a sector, such as that of stone marble, enhances the role of the ICE at the service of companies and officially recognizes the role of the Italian trade fair system and its excellences, such as Marmomacc as a platform to increase the rate of internationalization of companies and the country-system »stated Giuseppe Tripoli. "As early as September 28, two selected foreign trade delegations of sector operators are expected to arrive in Verona: 100 top buyers interested in Italian technologies and machinery and another 100, including architects, planners and designers, looking for marble and Made in Italy stones to be used in large projects abroad »highlighted Giuseppe Luongo. «It is an important recognition for the entire exhibition system and for the Verona Fair in particular, the result of a long relationship and relationship with the MISE. It is an important opportunity to aggregate resources and rationalize the promotion of one of the sectors of excellence of Italian manufacturing which has its world reference point in Marmomacc "declared the president of Veronafiere Ettore Riello." This is a result that rewards a sector production which has in the Verona district an excellence both in the sector of the production of machinery and technologies, and in the processing of the product. The 50th edition of the exhibition that we will inaugurate on September 30th with an important international summit, is therefore not so much a point of arrival but as a new departure, to increase the excellent results achieved so far ”, said Giovanni Mantovani. "It is a sector that has been able to respond effectively to the crisis, which grows by almost 6 # 37 in the export of raw and processed products in the first half of this year compared to the same period in 2014 and 28 # 37 in that of machinery and technology sector », underlined Flavio Marabelli, president of Confindustria Marmomacchine.
